How we recommend products

Editorial judgement, not commission. We recommend a product only when it fits what we are explaining: this is how we decide what goes into an article and what we do with affiliate links.

How autonomiacocheselectricos.es recommends products

1. How we recommend products

Editorial judgement, not commission. Here we explain how we decide which product goes into an article and what we do with affiliate links.

We recommend a product only when it fits what we are explaining. The product is there because it solves something specific in the article, not the other way round.

If you cannot find the product you need inside one of our articles, you will not find it invented on a "top 10" page either. We would rather recommend nothing than recommend for the sake of it.

2. How we select

We work to a simple rule: the product has to serve what the article is about. A tyre inflator appears because we are discussing pressure and efficiency, not because it is time to draw up a list of inflators.

Before including a product we check:

  • That it does the job we describe in the article, without being overkill.
  • That it has a track record of real use, not just a glossy spec sheet.
  • That the price is in line with what it offers.
  • That it is available in Spain, with a warranty from a reputable channel.

When several options qualify, we compare them by real-world use, not by marketing. Sometimes the cheapest option is the best one, sometimes it is the most expensive. What we do not do is rank them by the commission they generate.

3. About affiliate links

Some product links are Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through them, we earn a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same, there is no surcharge for using our link.

That commission is what supports part of the site's editorial work. It is not what decides which product goes into an article.

If a product we recommend has no affiliate programme, we still recommend it. If a product with a good commission does not convince us, it does not go in.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not accept products in exchange for a review.
  • We do not publish sponsored rankings dressed up as editorial ones.
  • We do not let the brand shape the verdict.
  • We do not rewrite press releases as if they were our own analysis.

If you ever spot something that does not match this, write to us. Editorial credibility is all we have, and it is not negotiable.

Something not adding up?

Editorial credibility is all we have. If a product is missing, or you spot something that does not match what we explain here, write to us.
