In 2023, 1,018 units of the BMW iX1 EV were registered in Spain, 1,015 more than in 2022. It ranked #17 among the EVs registered that year, with 1.9% of the EV market, its best position up to then. It had never had so many registrations in a single year. Every model it is compared with that was registered that year had more registrations; the leader was the Tesla Model Y (6,843).
Its best month was December, with 214 units, and its weakest January (22). Over half were registered by companies: 58%, against 42% by private individuals. Madrid was the province with the most registrations: 46.5% of the total (473 units), followed by Barcelona (9.2%). On the used market, 67 units changed hands that year.
